Bella’s Caviary was named after my second name Isabelle, or Bella for short. I am a proudly South African Guinea Pig Society (SAGPS) certified breeder that strives to keep improving our breeds and breed standards.
Mentored by the President of our Society Michael Royston, who has changed the face of guinea pigs in South Africa.
My guinea pigs come from imported bloodlines and from some of the best bloodlines South Africa has to offer.
My Caviary was established in 2017 and focusses on breeding top show quality and pure bred pedigreed Sheltie and Coronet Guinea Pigs.
Guinea pigs are amazing creatures that deserve special care and attention, so when selling a cavy, we are quite selective on the homes they go to. We love our cavies and would like to preserve them as best we can. Every cavy deserves a good home.
Bella’s Caviary DOES NOT Support any pet shops or back yard breeding at all.
For more information on our Cavies, please go and “like” our Facebook page:

Our Register
The South African Guinea Pig Register (SAGPR) was founded in 2006 as a separate entity from the SAGPS, after the first registered Guinea Pigs where imported from Holland and Belgium.
The need arose out of this situation to keep accurate record of the registered pigs and their offspring which in turn developed the need to be able to present a world class society.
This was one of the founding reasons for establishing the SAGPR.
The second reason and possibly the most important one is simply the fact behind the importance of keeping records of lineage of all animals.
This importance is to shed light on genetics which supports concerned breeders today when mating their Guinea Pigs together.
To Register with the SAGPR is very easy...
1 Cost is included in the R200 breeders fee paid to SAGPS
2 Fill out the Reg form from infosagps@gmail.com
3 Simply email it to infosagps@gmail.com
4 You will receive your reg numbers back via email
5 If you are looking for an official SAGPS Pedigree, one will be emailed to you at the cost of R5.00 per pedigree.
